The Picos de Europa is a protected nature reserve where preparation of slopes is not allowed. For the ski slopes, therefore, you have to drive an hour and a half: the ski resort is called Alto Campoo. You can also take lessons there and rent equipment.
But ski touring is possible here in the Picos. You can go up to Fuente Dé by cable car.
Guided day trips of 5-8 hours or 2-day itineraries are offered. There is also equipment rental.
